Description

Each vase flattened at the back, the body sweeping up from a short splayed foot to a broad shoulder and waisted neck, the neck flanked by a pair of archaistic scroll handles, all resting on a trompe-l’oeil faux-bois stand, the body and neck decorated with cartouches surrounded by flower scrolls. One vase with the body decorated with a scene depicting three scholars, the other showing people in a garden.
