The gallery is established since 1994 in Paris at the 3 rue des Saints Pères, in the very heart of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés, and is member of the « Carré Rive Gauche », an association of art and antiques galleries. The gallery Valérie Levesque offers a wide range of Chinese works of art from the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, from the East India Company. The gallery also offers 18th and 19th centuries Tibetan items and Japanese artworks from the Momoyama, Edo and Meiji eras.
Graduated from l’École du Louvre, Valérie Levesque got a very early passion for the Asian art when she assiduously went around to the Guimet Museum in Paris. She started specializing in the study of Chinese and Japanese porcelains and spread her interest but also her acquisitions to paintings, lacquers, bronzes, cloisonnés, jades, textiles, scholar’s objects, Buddhist or Daoist artworks, and furniture.
