Description

Porcelain Ju-Yi Scepter, Of Coral glaze imitating it, with decoration of Taoist symbols of longevity, such as peaches and Lingzhi mushrooms;
Used as a Scholar brush rest on his painting and writing table.
Outstanding skill of the artist, imitating perfectly a material (coral) , using another one (porcelain), practice started during the reign of The Qianlong Emperor in the 18th Century.
