Description

The pewter cup in a skull-shape, resting on a bronze repousse triangular stand, imitating a hearth, with a three skulls design. The cup with a gilt bronze repousse cover with a vajra-shape lid. The stand and cover decorated in repousse with scrolls and flames patterns.  

The kapala is a cup made of a skullcap. It symbolizes the death of ego and the destruction of the dharma enemies. It is also a object use in Tibetan buddhism rituals.
