The cooler, with a small splayed foot, the belly slightly widening to the mouth. The item decorated with red, blue, light green, purple and gold enamels on a bright turquoise ground. The foot enamelled with kui dragons pattern, and the rim painted with stylized ruyi-head. The body adorned with flowers and lotus scrolls. This technique is typical of the south of China, especially of the tributes of Guangdong. Tributes of Guangdong were diplomatic gifts sent every year to the imperial court by high-ranking officials of Guangdong.
