Bronze tripod incense burner with brown patina.
The body is carved with a decoration of two Kui dragons chasing the sacred pearl. The three arched feet are adorned with archaic motifs, evoking cicada leaves and geometric patterns inspired by the decorative repertoire of ancient bronzes. The body is flanked by two vertical handles rising on either side of the opening. The domed lid is made of Huanghuali and surmounted by a soapstone handle carved with a dragon emerging from the clouds. This Ming Dynasty incense burner adopts an archaic style, echoing the shapes and decorative vocabulary of ancient bronzes.
